Cupping

Cupping massage is a type of alternative therapy that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction and promote healing. This technique has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine and helps improve blood flow, reduce inflammation, and release tension in the muscles.

During a cupping massage session, I will first apply oil to the skin to help the cups slide smoothly. The cups are then placed on specific areas of the body. The cups may be left in place for a few minutes or moved around in a gliding motion to massage the muscles.

It is important to note that cupping massage may leave temporary marks on the skin, known as "cupping marks," which are typically circular and caused by the suction of the cups. These marks usually fade within a few days and are not painful.
